- Why would I need Turf Drain Tiles when installing synthetic turf?
- Anytime you want to install synthetic turf over concrete, asphalt, wood decking, composite decking or other non-porous surface, the Turf Drain Tiles will provide an aeration and drainage layer that will prevent mold and mildew growth compared to when turf is installed directly over these surfaces.
- How do I know how many I need?
- Perfect Turf® Drain Tiles are designed to be 1 square foot when connected together. So if you are installing a 20’ by 10’ area, you would need 200 tiles. We would normally recommend 5-10% extra for waste when you have uneven or curved surfaces. The best way to determine the number of tiles you need is to put your layout on graph paper, making each square 1 square foot and then count how many tiles you need.
- How do I cut the tiles?
- Perfect Turf® Drain Tiles can be cut with a jig saw (fine tooth blade) or a circular saw with a fine tooth blade. Be careful cutting your tiles, keep checking your area. You want your Pods to fit snugly, but not too tight that they can’t be lifted up easily and not too loose that they slide around and have gaps between them.
- What makes Perfect Turf® Drain Tiles Unique?
- Perfect Turf® Drain Tiles are designed specifically for use under synthetic turf. This reduces cost and increases efficiency over our non-turf specific competition.
